Three years after joining Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, real estate partner Howard Grossman will be leaving the firm and the practice of law to join top client Morgan Properties on the business side.

Grossman, a much-heralded lateral from Mesirov Gelman Jaffe Cramer & Jamieson, has officially taken a one-year leave of absence to join the $100 million apartment owner/ manager. But Grossman added that he and Morgan principal Mitchell Morgan would like to begin a long-term partnership. Morgan has been a Grossman client for more than 10 years.
