Not only could the debate over the congressional redistricting lines have changed the primary election date, it could have affected the legislative schedule over the next few months.
But now that the primary is back on schedule for May 21, the General Assembly will adhere to its original schedule. Lawmakers were in session last week also this week, but out for the rest of May for primary break.
