At the Park South Diner, you can have your cake and eat it, too, but only if it shows up at your table before the end of the workweek.

While food at the newly opened space on South 19th Street is decent, plentiful and inexpensive, service, while friendly enough, moves slower than a drunken snail. Unfortunately, this makes Park South a less-than-stellar choice for a workday meal: On a recent visit, lunch clocked in at an hour and a half. At diners, people expect to get mounds of homestyle grub, and they expect to get it fast, but this doesn’t always happen at Park South.
