The Pennsylvania Superior Court has upheld a jury verdict for negligence involving an ankle injury a woman suffered during a riot that broke out when the rock band Guns N’ Roses canceled a concert in Philadelphia.
In a memorandum opinion in Heenan v. Comcast Spectator, the three-judge panel said the evidence was sufficient enough on causation and the jury award was not so shocking to one’s sense of justice, making a reversal of the trial court unwarranted.
