In this year’s ranking of the largest law firms, Philadelphia-based Pepper Hamilton has claimed the top spot with 323 full-time attorneys in Pennsylvania. In fact, there was much reshuffling at the top of the chart, with Reed Smith falling to number three for the first time in the history of this magazine, as Morgan Lewis & Bockius, another firm headquartered in Philadelphia, claimed the number two spot. And Dechert, last year’s number two firm and one of the big movers on the 2006 chart, slid back to number five behind Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
