Some federal court judicial nominations must die that others may win Senate confirmation
That was the unspoken message Friday as Sens. Arlen Specter and Rick Santorum held a joint press conference at the U.S. Courthouse to announce that they have struck a deal with their Republican colleagues to get committee hearings for four pending nominees to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania bench.
