Libel charges brought by Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Kathryn S. Lewis against Philadelphia Newspapers, The Philadelphia Daily News and one of its columnists were dismissed by a Bucks County, Pa., judge. The judge denied recovery, saying the Daily News columns concerning Lewis' handling of a robbery defendant's release from prison were not false and that the plaintiff failed to prove actual malice.
