The 2024 Pa Law 100

Welcome to Pa Law 2024, our 31th annual report on the legal profession in the Keystone state. For the past three decades we've kept a close eye on the most important developments for the Pennsylvania legal world, and reported back to you the reader. The Pennsylvania legal market in 2024 did not quite match the flurry of blockbuster mergers and law firm collapses that we saw in 2023, however, mergers continued at a strong clip, with numerous smaller regional acquisitions - often as a solution for succession planning - as well as a handful of very large-scale moves set to take effect at the start of next year. Verdicts, however, remained as active as ever. Strong sentiments from jurors fueling much of the staggering verdicts we saw in the first few years out of the pandemic showed no signs of weakening. As always, in the graphics and articles below we aim to provide the numbers and statistics underlying these trends, in the hopes that learning from the past can help us bring at least a little more stability to our future.
