Shearman & Sterling advises Vector Capital in purchasing Saba Software

Shearman & Sterling represented private equity firm Vector Capital in its announced purchase of Redwood Shores-based talent management software developer Saba Software Inc. for roughly $300 million. San Francisco-based Vector Capital will pay Saba $9.00 per share in the going-private transaction.

San Francisco-based partners Steve Camahort and Dana Kromm led the Shearman team, which included associates Christine Huang, Roey Gilberg and Mikael Abye, along with Palo Alto-based of counsel Eileen O'Pray and associate Ryan Bray. New York-based partners Doreen Lilienfeld and Samuel Waxman, of counsel Danforth Newcomb and associates Stephanie Monastra, Joshua Steinberger and Mark Pereira also worked on the deal, with the help of Washington, D.C.-based associates Beverly Chang and Brett Myrick. Partner Gus Atiyah, who splits his time between New York and Washington, D.C., provided assistance.
