Pillsbury advises Accela in $143 million financing

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman counseled Accela Inc. in raising $143.5 million in financing. The San Ramon-based company develops cloud-based software meant to drive civic engagement and service government agencies.

Palo Alto-based partner Allison Leopold Tilley led for Pillsbury. Partner C. Brian Wainwright provided assistance, along with associates Tommaso Poggiani, and Colin Conklin. Washington, D.C.-based partner Howard Clemons and senior counsel Aileen (Chuca) Meyer worked on benefits and antitrust matters on the deal.
