SAN FRANCISCO — When Mary Klumpp returned to law practice after 12 years away, the hardest part wasn’t refreshing her skills or getting up to date on legal developments. It was fitting in. The same age as many partners, she spent the past year working alongside 20-somethings as a first-year trademark associate in Cooley’s Washington, D.C., office.
