Goodwin Procter and Davis Polk work on Global Blood's $138 million IPO

Goodwin Procter represented South San Francisco-based Global Blood Therapeutics Inc. in its $138 million initial public offering, in which the company sold 6 million shares of common stock at $20 per share.

The Goodwin team included San Francisco-based partner Maggie Wong and Boston-based partner Mitchell Bloom. Davis Polk & Wardwell represented the underwriters in the deal, which included Morgan Stanley & Co., Goldman, Sachs & Co., Cowen and Co. and Wedbush Securities Inc. The Davis Polk team included Menlo Park-based partners Bruce Dallas and Rachel Kleinberg and associates Mohammad Ali and Stephanie Lai. New York-based partner Pritesh Shah, associates Nicole Field and Fiona Finlay-Hunt and counsel Marcie Goldstein provided assistance.
