SACRAMENTO — Uber Technologies Inc. has boosted its lobbying presence in the state Capitol by retaining Covington & Burling and, in conjunction, the help of Covington senior adviser and former congressman Howard Berman.
Covington & Burling revived its dormant California lobbying practice on Sept. 9, according to Secretary of State filings listed in the publication Capitol Morning Report. On the same day, Berman registered as a lobbyist.
