Rosemarie Ring is on the front line of defense for major companies that face a torrent of suits over data breaches and privacy matters. Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn and HTC all count on Ring to fend off class actions and other high-stakes claims. A notable win came in May on behalf of ESPN, which faced a putative class action over allegations it sent users' personal data via Roku devices to other parties. Ring's team quickly got the suit junked.
