SAN FRANCISCO — Several firms came together to help ink Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard Inc.'s $5.9 billion purchase of Dublin, Ireland-based King Digital Entertainment—maker of the famous mobile game Candy Crush Saga. Activision will pay $18 per share for King.

Fenwick & West represented King in the deal, with a team led by Mountain View-based partner Mark Stevens. Stevens did not return calls seeking comment. Dublin, Ireland-based law firm William Fry also provided counsel to King.

A trio of firms helped Activision in the deal. Debevoise & Plimpton served as lead M&A counsel for the company, and its lawyers provided guidance on tax and finance matters. The Debevoise team was led by New York-based partners Jeffrey Rosen and William Regner. Allen & Overy also represented Activision, along with Dublin, Ireland-based law firm Mason Hayes & Curran. Goldman Sachs, and BofA Merrill Lynch served as financial advisers to Activision.
