SAN FRANCISCO — Finance lawyer Richard Petretti will join Sidley Austin in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to lawyers familiar with the move. He departs Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he has been a partner for 21 years.
Petretti has served as counsel to JPMorgan Chase & Co. in several financing deals for major firm studios, including Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Legendary Pictures. He has also represented such clients as Citicorp, Credit Lyonnais, Apollo Management and Mervyn’s.
