Littler Mendelson's new software helps its clients help themselves.
In a joint venture with software company Neota Logic, San Francisco-based employment firm Littler is offering its clients a tool called Compliance HR. Littler's Chief Knowledge Officer Scott Rechtschaffen said its purpose is “to help with frequent repetitive questions so that they barely call their attorneys anymore.”
For example, an in-house legal department may be asked whether certain employees can be hired as independent contractors. With Compliance HR's question-and-answer module, the client can find the answer in minutes, or even embed the software within the normal onboarding process.
