Litigation can get messy. Like they say, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. And, as an honest litigator will tell you, a complex litigation matter can make for a pretty messy desk.
That's why O'Melveny & Myers put all its eggs in one basket with new software that walks its attorneys through the process, start to finish. OMMlit, which the firm rolled out in August, provides an interface for the 600-lawyer-firm's staff to stay organized and efficient through the many steps of a litigation matter.
The program slices the litigation process into its 400 most commonly performed tasks, such as “draft a motion for remand” or “perform legal research for a motion for remand.” As lawyers and paralegals move through the tasks, they see information and resources pop up right at their fingertips.
