SAN FRANCISCO – A Labor Department judge abruptly adjourned a bench trial Friday between the Department of Labor and Google Inc., in which the government claims Google failed to deliver personnel data as part of an audit into employee compensation practices.

That data, a federal government employee testified, could determine if Google has discriminated against women in salary and compensation, which she said she believes it has.

Department of Labor Administrative Law Judge Steven Berlin presided in the Office of Administrative Law Judges in San Francisco.
