The Recorder seeks nominations for Corporate Department of the Year, which will go to the firm whose corporate practice outperformed peers based on the size, scope and success of deals handled in the last half of 2016 and first half of 2017. We will also recognize seven specialty practices; industry sector trusted advisors, and once again recognize deal drivers who practice inside companies with our In-House Impact Awards. Submissions are taken online here and due by July 28. Winners announced September 15. In addition to the overall Corporate Department of the Year, we will honor practices in these categories: 1. U.S. M&A.2. Cross-border M&A.3. Capital markets4. Venture capital5. Emerging companies6. Tech transactions7. Corporate governance The Recorder is also seeking nominations for Trusted Advisor awards. These go to individuals whose engagements demonstrate that clients seek them out for their strategic insight into particular industry sectors. Finally, we are seeking nominations for In-House Impact Awards, which recognize mission-critical contributions from individual lawyers on the client's in-house team. To nominate a practice, lawyer or in-house attorney, fill out this survey form. Be as specific as possible in explaining why the result obtained was important to the client, what challenges stood in the way, and what the nominee did that was extraordinary.
