DLA Piper has hired Joshua Morse as a partner in its restructuring group. Morse, who will be based in the firm's San Francisco office, was previously a partner at Jones Day.

He has worked on bankruptcy and restructuring matters involving the media companies Adelphia Communications Corp. and iHeartCommunications Inc., as well as American Airlines and the $2.15 billion sale of Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers.

Morse had worked at Jones Day since 2012, when the firm brought on a team of lawyers led by prominent bankruptcy litigator Bruce Bennett from Dewey & LeBoeuf. Morse had worked with Bennett since his days as an associate at bankruptcy boutique Hennigan Bennett & Dorman, which the now-defunct firm took on 10 lawyers from in early 2011.
