The Second Appellate District affirmed a judgment. The court held that two brothers failed to establish that the dependency court erred in dismissing a petition as to them based on their mother's failure to protect one of their older sisters from sexual abuse.

Minor Leslie O., who was born in 2008, disclosed to a teacher that her mother's boyfriend had sexually abused her. The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services filed a petition alleging that Leslie, her older sister, and two younger brothers all came within the jurisdiction of the dependency court due to Leslie's sexual abuse and mother Morena H.'s failure to protect her. The dependency court sustained the allegations as to Leslie, but dismissed the petition as to her siblings, finding no evidence to show that the siblings were at risk. The court found that neither the younger brothers nor the older sister was similarly situated to Leslie, who was, for various reasons, particularly vulnerable.
