Fox Rothschild has brought on Michael Clark as a corporate department partner in the Los Angeles office. Clark previously was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw and Norton Rose Fulbright.
Greenberg Gross has brought on Becky James as a partner in its Los Angeles office, where she will lead the firm's appellate practice group. Previously, James founded and owned her own appellate boutique law firm.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Newman has joined Perkins Coie's San Francisco office as senior counsel in its tax controversy practice. Newman spent 12 years with the Department of Justice, with two years in the Tax Division.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
