This year’s Bloomberg Law In-House Forum West, held in San Francisco Wednesday, kicked off with a keynote from one of tech’s best known in-house lawyers: Uber CLO Tony West.

In a live interview on stage with Bloomberg Tech anchor Emily Chang, the ride-hailing company’s legal leader discussed everything from data breaches to national immigration policies. But what West kept coming back to was Uber’s efforts to rebuild trust, in the U.S. and abroad, after a difficult few years.
