Prosecutors have agreed to drop felony charges against a San Diego lawyer accused of helping a prominent cannabis businessman hide an illegal hash oil operation from authorities.

Under terms of a deferred prosecution agreement reached this week with the San Diego County district attorney’s office, the lawyer, Jessica McElfresh, will plead guilty next year to a single infraction count of knowingly aiding an unpermitted marijuana manufacturing facility.
