The University of Southern California, caught up in a burgeoning sexual abuse scandal, might want to take some lessons from Michigan State University’s mishandling of a similar matter.
At USC, some 200 current or former students have filed suit against the school after the Los Angeles Times reported in May that the university allowed George Tyndall, a gynecologist in its student health center, to practice for decades despite numerous allegations of sexual and verbal misconduct with patients. The number of suits increases almost weekly.
