Scott Adamson joined Alston & Bird as a partner in its corporate practice. Adamson's clients include public and private strategic and financial buyers and sellers, emerging businesses, family offices, and business owners. Previously, he was a partner at Vedder Price. Adamson is based in the firm's Los Angeles office.
The Orange County Bar Association honored Associate Justice William Bedsworth as the recipient of its Franklin G. West Award. Bedsworth is an associate justice of the Fourth District Court of Appeal. The award is presented to an outstanding attorney or judge for his or her lifetime achievements. The award was presented at the OCBA Judges' Night and Annual Meeting.
Cordell & Cordell opened an office in Oakland in February. The firm has more than 200 attorneys in more than 100 offices in the United States and the United Kingdom. Cordell & Cordell is a domestic litigation firm that represents men in family law cases.
Arya Moshiri and J. Kain Day joined intellectual property and patent litigation firm Fish & Richardson as associates. The firm also promoted Bryan Basso, Megan Chacon, Alex Gelberg and Katherine Prescott to principals in the intellectual property litigation group. Moshiri, Day, Basso, and Prescott are based in Redwood City. Chacon and Gelberg are based in San Diego.
Three attorneys joined Greenberg Traurig in California: Todd Pickles as of counsel in the white-collar defense and special investigations practice, David Cheit as of counsel and Deepi Miller as an associate in the litigation practice. Pickles previously was assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California. Cheit previously was at DLA Piper and Miller was at Winston & Strawn. All three attorneys are based in Sacramento.
Sidley Austin brought on Stacy Horth-Neubert as counsel in the global litigation group. Her practice is focused on commercial litigation, multidistrict litigation and class actions, federal and state appeals, international arbitration and administrative appeals. She was previously counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and is based in Los Angeles.
Pillsbury brought on Jorge Medina as partner in its tax practice and energy industry practice. Medina has experience in structuring tax-efficient transactions in the growing energy storage market. Previously, Medina was associate general counsel at Tesla. He is based in Los Angeles.
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius brought on three attorneys as partners in the labor and employment practice: Douglas Hart, Jennifer Zargarof, and Max Fischer. Hart focuses on wage-and-hour, disparate impact, discrimination, and pension plan cases. Zargarof's experience focuses on class actions and multiplaintiff litigation. Fischer represents companies on class actions and business disputes. All three attorneys were partners at Sidley Austin. The team is based in Los Angeles.
Donaldson + Callif brought on Dale Nelson as a partner in Los Angeles. Her experience focuses on copyright, trademark, and right-of-publicity matters. Previously, Nelson was vice president and senior intellectual property counsel at Warner Bros.
Thomas Stromberg joined Perkins Coie as a partner in the mergers and acquisitions practice. Stromberg represents investors in the acquisition and financing of private companies. He previously was a partner at Jenner & Block, and is based in Los Angeles.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton brought on three attorneys to its private wealth and fiduciary litigation practice. Steven Braccini joined the firm as s partner, and Wendy Krog and Kendal Fletcher joined as associates. Previously, the team was part of Hopkins Carley. All three attorneys will be based in Palo Alto.
Baute Crochetiere Hartley & Velkei brought on Steve Velkei as a name partner. He has more than 25 years of experience litigating complex business disputes. Velkei is based in the Los Angeles office.
Kaufhold Gaskin promoted Quynh Vu to partner in San Francisco. Vu's practice focuses on complex civil litigation in federal and state courts. She had previously been an associate at the firm.
Drinker Biddle & Reath promoted Zoë Wilhelm to partner. Her practice focuses on class actions, accounting and valuation litigation and general business disputes. She is based in Los Angeles.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, is 1:24-cv-09445, Gonzalez v. The Toronto-Dominion Bank et al.

Crown Castle International, a Pennsylvania company providing shared communications infrastructure, has turned to Luke D. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Susan K. Declercq, is 2:24-cv-13131, The Town Residences LLC v. T-Mobile US, Inc. et al.

Wilfred P. Coronato and Daniel M. Schwartz of McCarter & English have stepped in as defense counsel to Electrolux Home Products Inc. in a pending product liability lawsuit.
