Attorney Michael Avenatti, who gained fame as the lawyer for the adult film actress known as Stormy Daniels who said she had a sexual affair with President Donald Trump, and parlayed that into a self-styled role as Trump nemesis, was charged in Los Angeles federal court with a 36-county grand jury indictment, including charges that he stole client funds, evaded taxes and committed perjury.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
