Fisher & Phillips brought on Ben Ammerman as of counsel and Michael S. Armstrong as an associate in the firm's Irvine office. Ammerman advises clients in industries such as technology, financial services and health care in employment law matters. He was previously a partner at Newmeyer & Dillion. Armstrong handles employment law matters.

Former Fox Rothschild partner Ashe P. Puri is now a part of Maynard Cooper & Gale's intellectual property practice. Puri joined the firm's Los Angeles office as partner. He has experience with patent infringement, trademark infringement and trade secret issues related to technologies such as electronics, computer systems, medical devices and consumer products.

Michael E. Meyer, a real estate attorney formerly with DLA Piper, joined Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro. Meyer represents clients in finance, accounting and law industries in major lease transactions. He will split his time between Glaser Weil's Century City and Downtown Los Angeles offices.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom announced that it promoted three of its California attorneys to partner. Peter MairVirginia Milstead and Ken Kumayama all previously served as counsel. Mair practices real estate law in Los Angeles, Milstead is a litigator in Los Angeles, and Kumayama handles intellectual property and technology and cybersecurity and privacy in Palo Alto.

Todd Boes left Ropes & Gray for O'Melveny & Myers, where he joins as partner. He will work in the firm's corporate group, where he will focus his practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments. He will be based in the firm's San Francisco office.

The Newport Beach office of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth grew with the addition of shareholder Shawn Collins. Collins joins the firm's litigation department after working in Sidley Austin's commercial litigation, white-collar and privacy and cybersecurity practices. He focuses his practice on government and regulatory enforcement defense, internal investigations and compliance counseling.

Trade secrets litigator Bradford Newman joined Baker McKenzie from Paul Hastings. He will work in the firm's North America litigation and government enforcement practice. In his previous role, Newman was chair of Paul Hastings' international employee mobility and trade secret practice. He is based in Palo Alto.
