Attorneys from Keker, Van Nest & Peters are representing Oakland’s former police chief in a lawsuit against the city claiming the Police Commission and mayor fired her for reporting misconduct.
The lawsuit comes amid public demands for greater transparency from law enforcement following the killing of George Floyd and global protests over police brutality and corruption.
