Attorneys from Latham & Watkins have stepped in to defend Facebook Inc. in a shareholder derivative lawsuit alleging that the company’s failure to follow through on diversity commitments has harmed investors.

Latham’s Elizabeth Deeley in San Francisco and Daniel Gherardi in Menlo Park filed notices of appearance Wednesday, according to documents surfaced by Law.com’s Legal Radar.
