Morrison & Foerster has elevated global diversity and inclusion director Natalie Kernisant to chief diversity and inclusion officer, marking the ninth high-level diversity appointment in Big Law in the past two months alone.

The newly created role will be more client-facing than the previous one, an acknowledgement of the increasingly active role clients are taking in diversifying outside counsel.
