California state bar leaders have relaunched their search for an executive director one year after the last leader stepped down.

The bar’s board of trustees emerged from a lengthy closed-door Zoom meeting Friday to announce that vice-chair Ruben Duran and Arnold “Arnie” Sowell Jr. will develop a plan “for the immediate recruitment” for the top administrator’s job and report back to the full group with “proposed candidates.”
