Goodwin Procter partner Michael Russell has re-joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in California to co-lead the firm’s M&A practice alongside firm veteran Robert Ishii, as the Big Law tech and life science rush continues.

Russell’s roster of tech clients includes Slack, Lyft, Fitbit and Twitter, for which he advised the company on its $479 million acquisition of advertising tech firm TellApart. Before he joined Goodwin in 2016, Russell spent nearly 18 years at Wilson Sonsini, joining first as an associate and making partner in 2007.
