Former Ropes & Gray partner Gabrielle Higgins joined Desmarais as partner. Higgins focuses her practice on patent trial litigation and will work in the firm's Patent Trial and Appeal Board practice. She is based in San Francisco.
A three-lawyer group from Baker & Hostetler joined Squire Patton Boggs, including Los Angeles associate Niloufar Massachi. She and the rest of the new hires will work in the firm's data privacy and cybersecurity practice. Massachi handles cases related to data privacy and protection, technology transactions, advertising, sales and digital media practices, cybersecurity, and consumer protection law.
