In the wake of Tom Girardi’s downfall, the high-flying—but now embattled—plaintiffs lawyer left his firm’s office in shambles, with boxes of physical files dating back decades.

“To say the offices were a mess is an understatement,” wrote bankruptcy trustee Elissa Miller, referring to the firm’s accounting department, according to an April 13 status report.
