As deal work around corporate mergers and special purpose acquisition companies goes gangbusters, lateral activity in both the junior and senior ranks has followed suit.

Corporate attorneys have dominated lateral partner moves among Am Law 200 firms in the last week. It comes after global M&A had its best first quarter since 2007, with private equity buyouts, SPACs and tech sector mergers fueling $1.3 trillion in deals. Some firms are paying massive signing bonuses to associates to keep up with demand.
