Davis, Polk & Wardwell—the new market-leader responsible for the recent rounds of fall and spring bonuses—upped the ante on on associate salaries as well on Friday, when it announced  first-year associate salaries of $202,500, just $2,500 more than the scale Milbank set yesterday.

While some firms are matching Davis Polk’s scale, others who announced raises Friday are sticking with Milbank’s scale, starting at $200,000 for first-years.
