Warner Music was hit with a copyright lawsuit Monday in California Central District Court. The lawsuit was brought by Cohen Music Law and Byrnes Hirsch P.C. on behalf of James Reid and William Reid, members of Scottish rock group The Jesus and Mary Chain. The plaintiffs accuse Warner of refusing to comply with a notice of copyright termination regarding the group's 1986 album 'Psychocandy' and related releases. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:21-cv-04806, Reid et al v. Warner Music Group Corp et al.
