Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani partner Don Willenburg and senior counsel Christine M. Wheatley have stepped in to defend the National Association of Secretaries of State in a pending lawsuit arising from efforts to flag disinformation related to the 2020 election. The suit was filed June 17 in California Central District Court by Dhillon Law Group and the Center for American Liberty on behalf of Florida-based attorney and conservative influencer Rogan O'Handley, who uses the social media handle 'DC Draino.' The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald, is 2:21-cv-04954, Rogan O Handley v. Alex Padilla et al.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
