Synopsys, a software maker specializing in semiconductor design, sued Dolphin Technology Inc. Wednesday in California Northern District Court over alleged copyright infringement. The lawsuit, filed by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, accuses Dolphin of circumventing Synopsys' access control system in order to exceed usage restrictions. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 5:21-cv-06207, Synopsys, Inc. v. Dolphin Technology, Inc.
