The Commission on Judicial Appointments on Monday confirmed four justices to Bay Area appellate courts, potentially marking Gov. Gavin Newsom’s final selections for California’s six courts of appeal.

The commission unanimously approved the appointments of Santa Clara County Superior Court Judges Cynthia Lie and Charles Wilson II to the Sixth District Court of Appeal in San Jose. First District Court of Appeal Justices Teri Jackson and Alison Tucher were elevated to presiding justices of the San Francisco court; Jackson will lead the court’s Division 5 and Tucher will head Division 3.
