Apple was slapped with an antitrust class action Thursday in California Northern District Court alleging that the tech giant maintains a monopoly in the market for smartphone-enhanced 'internet backbone' devices. The suit was filed by Associated Attorneys of New England on behalf of small app developers such as Primary Productions who accuse Apple of underpaying them and suppressing their App store rankings. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:21-cv-06841, Primary Productions LLC v. Apple Inc.
