McGuireWoods partners George J. Terwilliger III, Michael L. Francisco and Kevin M. Lally have stepped in to defend Elliott Broidy, Broidy Capital Management LLC and Circinus LLC in a pending lawsuit accusing the Republican fundraiser of orchestrating a surreptitious lobbying campaign against Qatari interests. The suit, which brings claims for trade libel, unfair competition and false advertising, was filed Aug. 5 in California Central District Court by Larson LLP on behalf of Qatari travel businesses Mosafer Inc., Mosafter E-Com, and GoMosafer. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Mark C. Scarsi, is 2:21-cv-06320, Mosafer Inc. et al v. Elliot Broidy et al.
