Edgewell Personal Care, the owner of brands including Schick, Playtax and Hawaiian Tropic, was hit with a consumer class action Thursday in California Northern District Court claiming false advertising. The court case, filed by Clarkson Law Firm, alleges that the company's 'reef friendly' sunscreen products contain harmful chemicals. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:21-cv-07669, Moran v. Edgewell Personal Care, LLC.
