Warner Music, Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and other defendants were slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit Tuesday in California Central District Court. The suit, filed by Doniger Burroughs on behalf of the Estate of reggae musician Wycliffe Johnson, alleges that several songs recorded by Latin singer Luis Fonsi copy original elements from Johnson's 1989 song 'Fish Market'. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-08295, Browne et al v. Rodriguez Lopez-Cepero et al.
