The former CEO of chipmaker Microsemi is seeking to add new claims to a fraud lawsuit over a failed investment, bolstered by discovery his lawyers say reveal deception more extensive than originally alleged.

James J. Peterson accuses the technology company TruInject and its founder, Gabrielle Rios, of duping him into investing by misrepresenting the company’s value. Based in Irvine, California, TruInject develops training software for medical practitioners who specialize in cosmetic facial injections such as Botox.
