Miramax sued famed film director Quentin Tarantino for copyright infringement Tuesday over his recently announced plans to auction off scenes from the 1994 motion picture 'Pulp Fiction' as non-fungible tokens, or NFTs. The suit, filed by Proskauer Rose in California Central District Court, contends that Tarantino's plans violate a rights agreement with Miramax and that he has refused to comply with demands to cancel the sale. Counsel have not yet appeared for Tarantino and his business Visiona Romantica Inc. The case is 2:21-cv-08979, Miramax, LLC v. Tarantino et al.
