The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Ryan Ginster Thursday in California Central District Court over alleged violations of federal securities laws. The suit accuses the defendant of defrauding investors more than $3.6 million in bitcoin and misappropriating funds for personal use. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 5:21-cv-01957, Securities and Exchange Commission v. Ginster.
