Lawyers with Morrison & Foerster and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius have stepped in to defend virtual event platform ON24 Inc. and the underwriters of its 2021 IPO in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Nov. 3 in California Northern District Court, accuses the defendants of misleading investors regarding the company's ability to sustain customer growth experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, is 4:21-cv-08578, Douvia v. On24, Inc. et al.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
